Classic Motors, formally known as McKinlay Chevrolet was founded in 1936 by the McKinlay family. It was moved to its present location in 1942 and was operated by them until 1985 when it was purchased by local businessman Craig Ross. Craig gave the dealership its new name, "Classic", and added the Chrysler franchise, which had been missing from the Richfield area for many years. Joe Betar and his wife Pat purchased the dealership from the Ross family in 1993 and continue to operate it together.
