Efficiency and Performance
The Chrysler Pacifica comes in two fuel-efficient forms. The gas-only version has a 287-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic transmission. There is also a plug-in hybrid version which adds two electric motors and a 16.0-kilowatt-hour rechargeable battery. The combined output is 260 horsepower, but it also offers up to 33 miles in electric-only driving mode. The Toyota Sienna is only available as a traditional hybrid with a four-cylinder engine and two electric motors and is weaker than both engine options for the Pacifica.
Interior Comfort and Convenience
The Toyota Sienna is spacious and offers excellent storage, like 18 cup holders and a storage cubby in the center console. However, you'll be disappointed to find that the second-row seats are not removable. In the Chrysler Pacifica, you can make all the seats disappear into the floor with Stow 'n Go technology and transform the space from a passenger van to a useful cargo van.
Connected Technology and Entertainment
The Chrysler Pacifica has a beautiful embedded 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay© and Android Auto™. The Toyota Sienna has similar features, but it starts the base model with a smaller 8.0-inch touchscreen, and the rear seat entertainment system features a single 11.6-inch display. In the Chrysler Pacifica, the rear seat entertainment features dual screens and streaming through Amazon Fire TV.
