Performance Features

Performance is even better in the Jeep Grand Cherokee for the 2022 model year with an electric powertrain that includes an electric motor and gasoline engine. Combined, they provide the Jeep with 375-horsepower maximum power output and up to 470 pound-feet of torque.

The hybrid powertrain gives this Jeep model a tow rating of 6,000-pounds. With either of the two other engines-V6 and V8-the Jeep Grand Cherokee towing increases to a best-in-class rating of 7,200-pounds.

The V6 engine, which is still the standard engine, has a power output of 295-horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. An available V8 engine generates 360-horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. Under the hood of the Trackhawk trim is a 6.2-liter V8 engine that creates 707-horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque.
